Network/VTC Administrator


As the
Network/VTC Administrator
, you will provide support for routine and moderately complex technical activities related telephony and SONET services, wireless network support, network system upgrades, configuration and operational support and network problem logging and troubleshooting. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

  • Install and configure networking equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve networking problems
  • Administer Cisco proprietary platforms (bridge, gatekeeper, MPS) to include troubleshotting software and hardware issues.
  • Administer TMS (Tandbery Management Suite)
  • Conduct routine maintenance including patching, firmware updates and software upgrades
  • Be proficient with Tandbergy VTC administration interfaces via web browser
  • Adhere to and monitor compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Support the administration of VTC endpoints
  • Configure data network encryption devices such as, TACLANE 175D, TACLAE 175A, TACLANE 245A and KIV 7M
  • Develop, implement and assess network security measures
  • Design and prepare technical reports and related documentation
  • Promote IT and network security control measures, practices and techniques
  • Process all applicable service requests IAW CIO/G6 C4IM service list



  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent related experience
  • Active Security Clearance
  • IAT-II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
  • CCNA Collaboration Certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire
  • 4-6 years of experience
  • Proficient in current Fujitsu SONET switches, AVAYA CS2100/CS1000 VOIP/TDM swtiches, Callegra call management systems, Cisco Unified Call Manager and SecureLogix telephone firewalls

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
