Equipment Mechanic (Inspector) (Lead)

The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic, Lead Inspector makes
repairs to ground support equipment following orders of a higher-grade worker,
troubleshooting malfunctions of GSE equipment including Power Generation using
conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency
counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, load banks
and hand tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

vary by assignment or contract.)

GSE Inspector/Lead Mechanic works under the leadership of the
Maintenance Supervisor

GSE Inspector/Lead Mechanic will direct the work of other
mechanics and provide support to maintenance team to ensure satisfactory levels
of customer service are maintained for internal and external customers.

Inspects ground support equipment and their components for the
purpose of ensuring safety and identifying necessary repairs

-Uses automated maintenance data systems to maintain equipment
records, and document maintenance actions, maintains Power generation and
grounding systems.

Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE and Power Generation

Maintains tools and
equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items in safe
operating condition.

Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic
fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air, disassembles and assembles
malfunctioning GSE accessories and components.

Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion,
assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories.

Operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles;
provides dispatch service for GSE.

Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage
prevention and safety at all times.

Additional responsibilities include working with a variety of
repair and test equipment including welders, torches, pressure testers and
electrical testers to name a few.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
