Senior SQL DBA - USARC Enterprise Data Center

SAIC is seeking a Senior SQL DBA for our team at the USARC Enterprise Data Center in Fort Bragg, NC. This role is part of a team that manages data centers worldwide for the US Army Reserve, maintaining over 1,000 databases and supporting over 60,000 users.

As a Senior SQL DBA you will be an integral part of this team, and will serve as the primary DBA on the contract. We are looking for someone who has expertise in database management systems and relational database technologies (SQL Server 2012 & SQL Server 2016), as well as someone with strong problem solving abilities, and someone who can think outside the box to find proactive, creative solutions to develop/improve the database environment.

Day to Day responsibilities include:
  • The Database Administrator will work to analyze, design, and develop custom solutions supporting applications, based on customer mission and business requirements.
  • Analyze, design, and develop custom Business Intelligence solutions utilizing SQL Server Analysis and Reporting Services, integrated with SharePoint
  • Evaluate business workflow and content requirements for customer SharePoint solutions to ensure compliance with technical, professional, security, and organizational standards and requirements.
  • Develop architectural designs, test plans and SOP documents to ensure compliance with specifications or standards.
  • SAIC builds high performance teams focused on maintaining core skills and supporting the capability to deliver superior results.


  • Experience with Database Management Systems
  • Experience with relational database technologies, specifically SQL Server 2012 and 2016
  • Experience with SQL Server Clustering
  • Experience with. NET development technologies
  • Secret Security Clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ Qualifications
  • Expertise with SharePoint 2013
  • Experience with SQL Server 2012 R2 programming
  • Experience with SQL Business Intelligence utilizing SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server Reporting Services
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
Clearance Requirement:
  • Must currently posses Secret Clearance

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
