Heavy Equipment Mechanic (CMT)


The Heavy Equipment Mechanic analyzes malfunctions and
repairs, overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses,
trucks, or tractors. Rebuilds and maintains power equipment, such as cranes,
power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines,
conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors and pneumatic tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose

Dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and
hand tools, examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micro meters and

Replaces defective engines and sub-assemblies such as
transmissions and tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency.

May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and
assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.

Performs other duties as assigned to meet
organizational/operational objectives.

Job duties and responsibilities may change due to
contractual requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
